        It's not on Eurosport.

I see Steve Davis is getting whipped. I've just got in he's 4-0 down to Michael Wasley. It's a pity I've missed the match so far but it looks like I've not missed much. He must be in danger of being knocked out the top 64

Am i right that 64 Players fly out to China ? If so ,they are guaranteed £3000 in prize money .

Not much left [ If any thing ! ] if you lose your 1st match , when you take into account taxis to/from Airports , Flights , Food and Hotel expenses .

I am all for more players' at the venue , but would have thought 32 players at the venue would be better . Makes financial sense i believe .
Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

Think you're right Neil, at least that is my understanding. I think the prize money issue is a real problem for 1st round losers. Not sure what best solution is. It's difficult for the lower ranked players to make enough money to even cover their expenses. Been discussed many times.

Yeah , seem to recall the discussions about it . But thought that the players' would have brought this up with World Snooker .

Think the next prize bracket is £6500 for the last 32 . So they can cover their expenses with that .

Just seems logical to take 32 players' .

I heard it was around 5% but could be wrong.

Best solution is don't lose in the first round.

Somebody has to tho and go home with no money after forking out a fortune for air fares and living expenses.

I guess that's what sponsorship is for to help pay for some of that stuff.

Shawn Murphy started a bit ropey against Andy Duffy today with some very loose safety shots in the first couple of frames but he looks like he's got his head back on the game now.
