Can this be fixed?

Don't know what it would cost you but it almost certainly can be repaired, find a cue maker local to you or you'll have to post it

Shouldn't cost more than £20 to fix, or DIY. Insert a thin table knife into the crack carefully, so that you open the split but not too much. Pump some Bostik PVA wood glue (from B&Q etc) into it. Let it close. Clamp the cue (G clamp or vice) making sure you put something around the butt to stop it being marked. Leave overnight. Cured. If you don't have wood glue, superglue works as well.

Something similar happened to my Chinese cheap cue, although I was just putting it together and the joint gave way, I have to agree with J6 don't use super glue, I did and I ruined it.

Ok, just use plain old PVA wood glue then. Any excess can be easily wiped off, unlike superglue. At the end of the day, the splices are glued on and clamped shut, that's all the cue makers do, it's the same as the pencil box you made at skool. So fixing a crack with wood glue shouldn't be a risk and should work. Keep the vice closed for a while though; perhaps a couple of days per crack to be on the safe side. I think there is wood glue in Poundland. Good luck.

Cyber , I know nowt about glues and wood , but I think wood glue is good for the cracks but I'm not sure you could glue the joint back in with it. I saw something on here on another thread, that looked more like a putty, maybe someone could put it up, that looked more like the stuff to fix the joint.

I'd get in touch with Andy travis on the forum he doesn't charge the earth and you know you cue will be right nothing worse than it going wrong and costing you a lot more trust me from experience I had to get a new cue it sounded tinny after I finished and my cue was cheap but I got a new cue from Andy and am over the moon with it
