Ageing an Ash Shaft

Can anyone tell me the best way to age a shaft to give it that old yellow patina that makes it look like a cue that's been hanging around an old snooker club for 80 years or more. Tea bags or coffee maybe? Want to apply an oil finish after.

This is not for any immoral purpose of misinterpretation (only to myself) just like the look.

There is a finishing wax that Craftsman sells that gives the shaft that look no need for oils as it leaves the cue super smooth I like the smell too - tea bags lol

Is that their standard wax they sell on ebay Byrom or do they do a darker one that you are maybe referring too?

standard dark brown one - good stuff with one application it creates a nice aged golden look patina - cue feels super smooth protected and smells new - I recommend it - I did it to a few cues now - after I did mine everyone was impressed - wanted me to do there's too - I brought a few cues back to as new condition now. With this - I would not use any oil just this -

I use beewax from IKEA. smells good and smooth too but colourless...
