  • Best balls

    Hi people's,

Are these the best balls? I'm not a great player but fancied some really good quality balls as I've already treated myself to a A* cue.

What's the best site to purchase from? How's this one?

Only asking because there are fakes about apparently.

    Best balls

    well both sites are legit
Aramith Tounament Champions are the ones to go for nowadays
whether you have the regular set at 3g weight range or pay more for the 1g weight range
they are the same type of ball but you pay more because the company took more time matching the balls to a closer range

cases - people have said that the ali case that comes with the 1g set is very weak and you can get stronger cases elsewhere
I have a peradon case that is heavy but is strong
buy your set of balls from a reputable retailer and you wont go wrong

That dote is pricey. I would also go for TC's rather then the 1G

Just to avoid confusion. 1G's ARE TC's. The difference is, as Dean has posted, the company has selected them to be in a closer tolerance...and you get the aluminium case with the 1G's. The 3G TC's come in a carboard box.

          Hi,

Can anyone tell me if this's a genuine item, as I know the Aramith Super 1G Pro set comes in an aluminium case with some logos on the case. However, the one(used set) I've been offered for comes in a leather looking case with yellow foam pack inside the box.....................

Shouldn't there be a certified paper to say that the set is genuine??

          Many thnks!

Am trying to upload the picture of this used set but can't seem to be able to do that. Apparently, I've used up the 3.00Mb space allowed under file attachment. How can I delete the photos in the archive so that I can upload new photo attachment again??

          Regards

I wouldn't buy those just to be safe.

Can't help you with the 3Mb limit as I had to ask Ferret a few years ago and he said it couldn't be done! I have never found a way to delete picutes on here

I bought some Tournament Champions Billiard Balls. All weighed identically (plus or minus half a gram, which was my scale accuracy). Interestingly they each had minor diameter differences, small but measurable by electronic caliper. I remember an ebay listing for some tournament balls that stated that aramith had run out of cases. Maybe not all TC balls are supplied in presentation cases, and maybe not all balls stay with their case? A lot depends on condition as well.

It's still hard to tell by those pics. How much are you paying for them and have you not considered the TC's which aren't 1G

Yes I do agree it's difficult to tell from just looking at the photos. Am considering too at the aramith tournament champion balls(3G) but haven't found a good used set yet. Am offering GBP100 for the used Pro 1G, if it's a genuine set.............
