  • Tiger cues

There is a new entry on e bay regarding Tiger cues marketed by Tiger Leisure Warrington (Think they also have their own shop web site) all around the £95 - £126 mark anybody got any info or insight into the quality of this item they dont look bad for the price but its hard to tell just from a picture and the usual blurb.

Been watching them myself. Some great looking cues but no feedback yet. Looks like they are new to the game but I wouldn't risk buying from them just yet.

Wise words ! As you say the pictures and info look good real up front but lets wait and see what sort of feedback they get.

          lol

"...cue makers with 25years experience..." anyone know who they may be?
could they be from Craftsman that closed its custom cue side?
          or elsewhere?
          Up the TSF! :snooker:

The guy is name Darryl Ellis and the 147 club in Warrington is genuine. You can make arrangements to go there and view the cues before you buy so seems genuine enough to me.

We're all very cautious of someone new on ebay with no feedback but my gut instinct is its OK to buy from this guy.

The cues look excellent for the money but resale value if you don't like it will be pretty low.

I can't honestly say why these cues would play any better or any worse then other cues available and at that price you could be getting yourself a bargain and a good honest cue.

Hi Guys, just spotted this thread whilst googleing my website, and just had to post a comment. Thanks GeordieDS for the kind words. Guys I'm genuine and my cues are guaranteed to be of the highest standard, any problems with a purchase and I'll refund the full purchase price. I'm proud of all my cues and take pride in each and every aspect. I was at first only providing one piece cues only but have recently added 3/4 jointed cues and youth cues to the range, and new to the range will be a maple as from next week. True resale price of my cues is likely to low to start (time will address this I'm sure), but to be honest those buying are unlikely to sell on! ;0) But I would say that! Regards Darryl.

Nice looking cues...I'd consider them worth a gamble at those prices, were I not very much sorted for cues. The one thing I would suggest is adding balance point information. I think it's a very useful thing to know (along with weight and butt diameter), to be able to estimate the feel in the hand.

Promising cue range and nice to get some inside info. Having quality youth cues available is very welcome, something the market doesn't support very much, although I am surprised to see no 57 inch cues in the range and tip sizes favouring the small side. Plenty of players prefer a tip between 9.5mm and 9.8mm as well as a 57 inch cue. Seems like you might be cutting out a big chunk of your potential market.

Yes all the early ones listed had smallish tips more suited to pool which put me off purchasing one. Havn't checked them out in a while so this may now have been addressed.

Still nothing over 9.5mm when I last checked.
