  • Hunt & O'byrne joint

Hi all, could someone tell me if H&O'b used a spirolock joint on the 3/4 cues and if so, how old these cues are likely to be?

    Thanks

I believe that is correct . Similar to the Osborne joint .

    Around in the 80's .

Any pics of the joint .
Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

Hi Neil, do you mean the joint Robert uses for the mini butt's and telescopic extensions etc? because that is exactly the type of joint I'm talking about.... I can't keep up with all these different types, I will post a couple when I get in from work

All the joints were made by a guy called Mick Rees , and then Robert used to get his joints made by him when he started .

But they are a slightly different joint now .

They used a few different types of joints on their 3/4 cues, most of the ones I've seen have had the one very similar to RO joint which isn't spiro.

You can see the ones they used here: http://www.thesnookerforum.co.uk/boa...yrne+catalogue

              Thanks for that .

I think that he means the 1st 2 joints from the left .

The others were bought in Aeon cues i believe .

Does somebody tell me if the hunt o Byrne base joint was a small or big spiroloc? I think Osborne used the slightly bigger ones whereas Robin cook and Dave Coutts use the smaller versions?
