To have a decent quality cue delivered to your door within 2 days then GBL is a no brainer the C1 or C7 are the same quality cues just different splicings.

I don't know about better, I would say that Phoenix are better value for money. The main distinguishable difference is that Phoenix cues have a lacquer finish on the butt section whereas GBL are oil finished. GBL used to be good value for money but the prices have been creeping up over the past couple of years and now they are quite expensive compared to any of the phoenix range.

9/10 people probably couldn't distinguish between any quality of cue without looking at the badge first and it's normally then They'll base their opinion.

Disagree Leo and reading some of your Posts then i realise why you think this as a Newbie!....... No disrespect towards you but when people who have dealt with Cues for many yrs you can see and tell the difference in quality straight away beleive me and you!

                ---------------------------------------------------

Also agree with Cueman the GBL Cues have gone up and up and up in Price! and Stu puts a Oil finish on Most Cues he gets in nowadays and now the GBL Cues arent cheap at all in my personal opinion althou i deal with Stu abit myself and i cant fault him as a person as hes a top guy and a very honest bloke who will help you out as much as possible. The Phoenix Cues do come with oil finish or you can Ask Dave at Craftsman Cues or Stu to put oil finish on these.

Gaz without us starting an argument a serious question. Are you saying people or yourself could pick up a Phoenix cue swap the badge for another badge lets say maximus or precision and you'd turn around and say this shaft doesn't belong to this Phoenix cue its a precision shaft or maximus shaft? I'm not talking about the lacquer or finish of cues I'm talking purely about the cue shaft.
