  • Footwear for Snooker

Footwear? Yeah, seriously. So what do you wear? My Dunlop pumps (like converse flats) have worn a hole so I thought about me hi-tec badminton shoes I no longer use. Blimey, not a big heel at all on these babies but enough to make me think no, the heel isn't flat enough. Problem with canvas pumps is they go a bit smelly and the insole falls to bits after a while. What do you all use to play snooker, got any suggestions?

you see the pros wearing leather shoes that seem pretty uncomfortable when standing around for long periods of time though

Got two new pairs of these Padders deck shoes in the drobe but loathed to wear them as they are so nice. Nearly as flat as pumps/converse:

Good leather lined riggers at Mole Avon are a pretty penny! Not to be sniffed at.

I thought Ronnie played better in trainers when he had that fracture. I think he hit a maxi in them, did he?

Ronnie in trainers hitting a maxi, coincidence or the power of pumps?

No-one's done a maxi in slippers on tv. C'mon Ronnie, the record is there for the taking. And I know you're reading this! lol

Some may laugh at this but I feel really comfortable in socks when playing. Obviously I only play in my local club I wouldn't do that in a club I'm not familiar with. I find you can get down better on the shot and feel more level with the table. I've seen other people play in their socked feet too and when you are walking around the table a lot I can understand why people would find it uncomfortable wearing shoes or trainers when playing for hours on end.
