  • New cue decision.... advice needed

I have almost always played with English cues. Some good ones some not that high quality.

I had a couple of Rileys in the past. Then got a Peradon and did stick to it for long. Now I have a Britannia but need to change it as its length is short for me.

I can't wait for and save for an English cue anymore and hence have decided to go for a Thai cue this time. I am a bit puzzled as its going to be my first experience. I have two options available for me and am thinking what to go for:

    1. Master Exclusive cue
    2. Maximus Legend cue

Which one should I go for and why? Please explain in detail so I can finalise my decision. In my country people really trust Master cues whereas Maximus is a new deal still for many.

    Cheers,
    Sidd.

Maximus make awesome cues. Had three and been very happy with all of them. Sometimes they get the specs a tad out but the customer service is top notch and they will fix anything that isn't to standard. The finish is ok, but you can easily sand it down and refinish to what you want. However, the shafts I've had have always been excellent. So, if i were to choose, Maximus is the route.

Ton Praram cues are very good quality and good finish; and have a range of cues to suit most budgets. Timescales are not too long either.
      Up the TSF! :snooker:

Love my Maximus, I don't get many centuries but i had one with this cue , its solid feeling, hits nice and is well made. Only thing with maximus is they have lacquered buts on some of their cues which i didn't like but i had mine taken off by tony glover.

Seems like Maximus option is not available any more as that guy sold his cue recently.

I think I shall have to settle with Master Exclusive Ex1 then. Master cues have quite a repute here and I think its not going to be that bad. A hand spliced exclusive with the following specs:

          Length: 60 inches
          Weight: 18.5 Ounces
          Tip: 9.5mm
          Butt: 29mm

I think I will go for this cue next week I shall put up an order.

          Excited...!
