        Thanks
Rang b & W today, they say they don't sell the shafts I would have to buy a cue starting at 340

Be surprised if Dave has any unless he's bought them in, I've spoken to him a few times about pear in the past and he thought he'd have to chop so many up to get a piece that's stiff enough that it'd be stupidly expensive.

(yes I know they're not cheap, I didn't intend them to be!..)

              You are right
The pear would be for dave to do the work on
I've been trying on and off for 5 years to get it done. Dave bought some pear 3_4 year ago but couldn't make a reasonable from it as he said too whippy

This is why I made the splices longer on the one I made,

J.P. came to the same solution, did he not ?

Its more a case than you need to make a cue to suit the shaft, the trouble is that the modern smaller spec doesn't suit pearwood -my best break remains with a 10.6 mannock, im sure a 9.5mm cue would have been too whippy.
