  • Where to go to buy a new cue

Hi, just wondering if anyone has any advice on where the best place is to go and buy a new cue.

I have narrowed it down to 3 options.
    Dave Coutts in Hykeham (closest)
Craftsmen cues in Kippax (similar distance)
And GreenBaize Ltd nr Middlesborough (furthest by far but would go there if it was worth it)

My budget is probably max of £500. One thing thats is for sure is that it will be a maple cue.

Any advice will he greatly appreciated
    Thanks

Thanks for a very quick reply; is that due to selection of cues, practice tables, better customer service?

With 2 full size tables (plus pool tables) to try out the 700 plus cues you surely gonna find one to suit you

Try the GBL's when you get there a personal favourite of mine, also Maximus a very good cue also.

May even grab 2 cues when I go it very much depends; changed my tip on my snooker cue and I am playing better than ever, I have had the same cue for over 10 years. It was playing great for pool before but now I have changed from an Elk to a MW supertip and I find that although there is a huge improvement for snooker I have lost a lot of feel when playing pool; not sure now whether to buy a new snooker or pool cue... Im sure with a large selection ill find out which when I get there.

I don't need to change a tip, that wasn't the point. I have only just started using the MW supers and they feel amazing on the snooker table, however I do not like it so much on the pool table, hence why I am at the point I need a second cue.

Ahh right I see, thanks. I think all is left to do is go and be like a big kid at Christmas and shop for a cue... I've been waiting about 8 years for this moment but always been too happy with my cue to change it. Cant wait to play haha

Craftsman have a table lots of cues and stuff but no carling - its a game changer

Trouble is after 5 or 6 pints I can knock a 50 in with a brush - so would probably come home with that if I went
