  • Helping identify woods in this cue

    Hi guys just need some help identifying what woods are in the butt of this cue.My mate bought this cue a while ago from ebay but would like a copy made. any help would be great

        Don't know what it is, but it doesn't look like walnut. I have one that looks similarly patterned, but lighter. I think it's 'wood'. Plays pretty good, actually. Very good bang for the buck.

          Looks like walnut burl, same wood as Ali Carter's cue splice

            after looking at some images I have I retract camphor as this cue's wood is not "red" enough for camphor
            could be walnut but not a burl version

            cant your friend go back to the seller and ask them what it is?

              I guess it would be camphor, most chinese cheap cue use it

                I've seen Afzelia burl with similar figuring and colour.
