Good luck to all Counties that are playing in the 2nd round of group matches in the EASB NCC on Sunday 22nd November.

Can I remind all captains / TD's &/or County representatives that results must be submitted to admin@easb.co.uk within 48 hours of the match. The full result must be submitted (example Home team 35 - 29 Away team) & any breaks over 50 too.

The scoring for league positioning is different from last year.
PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT AN EXTRA 10 POINTS!!!!

The scoring this year is..... 2 points for a win & 1 point for a draw & frame difference also decides league positioning.

    Thanks
    TM

    Nottinghamshire B 45 - 19 Staffordshire B.
Great win today for the B team.
That's 2 out of 2 for the guys. Well done & keep it going. No game for a Notts A. They had a blank fixture. Both teams are in action on Sunday 31st January 2016. Signing off for now. So, from all at Nottinghamshire County Snooker teams.

Merry Xmas & A Happy New Year to you all

Any news on the Format for next seasons event ?, is there a possibility that it will be a 'weekender' as for us that would guarantee entry for next season.

Hi thecuecoach, we did look into changing the format & holding it over a weekend at 4 different venues for next season. We would have had 4 groups of 4 (subject to 16 entries) playing round robin groups but it would have been impossible to do it with a 64 frame format over a Saturday. The semi finals would have been on the Sunday morning & the final later in the afternoon. The problem we have is. We don't know how many Counties will enter until registration is opened up & their fee is paid.
Feedback from some was that they were really happy with the current format & that 64 frames is worth travelling away for. Another factor was that if it was held over a weekend it would take away some prestigiousness of the NCC.

With this in mind. It was decided that we will stick to the existing format & depending on number of Counties entered we may make the groups smaller (4-5) & Counties will play home & away. A & B teams may be all put into the same groups. Theory behind this is why can't a B team win the NCC??? The winners from the groups will progress to the semi finals.

Also the winners of the EASB NCC play the winners of the Scottish County Championship. This years NCC was won by Merseyside A. Merseyside A will host the West of Scotland at Liverpool (date & venue tbc). The long term plan behind this is that Wales & N. Ireland County champions come on-board & we have a Home Nations County Championship.

Any more queries pls don't hesitate to contact myself.
