  • cueing across Cueball

    Hi all

First thread, browsed for a while tho.

Ok so I started playin again last year after 15 years away. Last season I played great, no high breaks as such but safety, long potting etc was great.

I was so confident on my long shots BUT NOW Awful.

    I probably pot 1 in 5 , 4 ft and over and 8 ft 1 in about 20 !!

I sometimes can actually feel the cue coming round at address although my cueing is fairly good.

Defo coming across the CB HELP. tried everything.

Getting back to playing decent snooker can be a frustrating task, especially if you've played well in the past.
The first thing i can recommend is play on your own as much as possible until your cueing becomes consistant and confidence builds.
As for long potting, everything needs to be perfect. Most important thing to concetrate on while taking on a long pot is keeping your head dead still. Actively concentrate on keeping your head still more than concentrating on the pot until you start doing it without thinking. We all know the fella down the club who tries a 9 foot pot with deep screw who jumps about 3 foot off his cue!! He gets 1 out of 500!!
