stance to be parallel to the line of aim

in this video, at 0.40min, it mentions that the line of aim is parallel to the stance for the boxer stance. but how is it possible? should it be perpendicular? roughly 90 degrees?

he says the left leg is parallel with the line of the shot.

which it is. its on a 'line' parallel to the line of the shot - the leg is pointing in the same direction as the shot but not on the same plane.
