how do you set up a shot?

good day to all how to you set up or get down in the shot..for example an straight in long shot what is the technique do get down on the shot line?i saw the video at youtube neils feijin get down and looking at the shot above,,while he stand he is in the middle of the hot i mean her nose middle in the line of aim i think when he get down he favor the right eye to put cue under it..you can see at 33 minute potting the brown seven,,do i have correct observation or he only use one eye while he is in up alignment the shot and when he get down.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1AkuN0FBfKM


please give me and advise also this is my problem too i can not align the shot properly even it is and straight shot i can not make a stop ball shot cue ball always on side when cue ball hits the object ball,,im right handed and right eye dominant please HELP ME

Although niels is a monster player, he has very unorthodox fundamentals. Don't copy him. I also wouldn't worry too much about your dominant eye, either.
