    Hi fellow snooker aficionados,

I have always enjoyed watching the game but recently, for the first time, begun to regularly play the game at 30 years old.

Do any members have any good advice for someone brand new to the game? My aspiration is to be able to make a break of 50 and have reasonable control over the cue ball.

As I'm Harrogate based, I've thought about attending the Northern Snooker Centre's coaching sessions. Are they any good?

    Many Thanks,

    N

The only way to do it is to find good coaching and then practice, practice and practice some more of what the coach tells you. I can't comment on the Northern Snooker Centre's program as I've never been there
