The chalk is reasonable, the troll risible lol.

I switched from Master to Predator - Reason I got tired of rummaging through the box of Master Chalk at the club trying to find the 'right' piece - I was searching for a certain feel when chalking - some pieces too 'dry and powdery', others to 'greasy' - By the time the box was 1/2 gone - not likely I would find a piece with the right 'feel'. Master Chalk with the 'right feel' is my favourite but unless I have access to full box not likely to find a good piece. Also I play pool (2 1/4" balls) and snooker. Tip sizes 11.75 mm and 9.9 mm. I chalk by "wiping" the tip from the centre of the chalk to the corner of the chalk. After a bit of use, this creates 4 grooves in the chalk. The wider pool tip makes a groove the is wider and made it a little harder to chalk my snooker cue. I ended up have two different pieces of chalk in use, one for pool and one for snooker.

With the shape of the Predator Chalk, I don't have to use different pieces for pool and snooker. So far the Predator Chalk seems to be the same from piece to piece - Negatives are its softer so messier and marks the hell out of the cue ball. In order to use my magnetic chalk holder I cut the plastic off the bottom and glue a washer to the bottom of the piece (you must cut off the plastic else the plastic, while still glued to the washer, will tear off the bottom of the piece of chalk) That means I have to carry an new piece with washer already in place.

I do play a lot of heavy spin shots. As far as miscues - I have not really noticed any difference.

Personally I thought it was good, gives a nice even coating and good grip, only problem is the colour, blue chalk marks everything!

Yeah. The blue color is a put off.

Blue and green are pretty interchangeable - there's no real problem using either. Red chalk is the killer!

Thanks to Dave, Hemi and CPS for the info. My old coach prefers green Masters for snooker and I'm a Spruce triangle guy. I like the grip of Masters but it can be messy. I guess that's the trade-off. Which would bring us to Kamui chalk. lol

There are other premium brand chalks that are better than masters, but less messy than kamui - e.g. OB and the excellent blue diamond.

                          No need to thank me.

True, because you haven't explained what OB is nor where we can buy it in the UK!
