  • Push on extensions

    Hi,
I've got a cue which doesn't have a joint for extensions, therefore I am looking for recommendations for push on extensions. I would like something like a push on mini butt and a telescopic extension. Thanks

Plenty of push on extensions to choose from on eBay. Not many use these anymore, far easier to get an sd joint fitted in butt and buy set of screw in extensions.

      Push on extensions

push on extensions are notoriously difficult to fit in most cases.
as mentioned already it would be easy to have a butt joint fitted with no detriment to the characteristics of the cue and get mini and long telescopic extensions to fit
      Up the TSF! :snooker:

Good point Dean, I gave my mate a case and he gave it me back as his push on extension wouldn't fit right. Couldn't close the case.

My cue doesn't have a butt joint, what I do is play half decent position, only joking, Ive got a push on one, doesn't really bother me, It's easy enough to carry the case and extension. Although most of the time I'm in the club, so it's in my locker and when playing away I get a lift so don't have any great trek to the club
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

I think Ronnie does not use push-ons because he prefers them or they are better than screw-ons - he uses them because they are there at the table and he cant be bothered to carry extras out with him - which also means he can leave the arena at the end of the session very quickly - which he does prefer!

                True.

Apparently, he also uses them because having a brass butt plug in the cue ruins the feel of the shot and it changes the balance of the cue. A screw on is firmer/better connected to the cue than a push-on and the push on always connects at a slight angle no matter how good the fit is. But a push on doesn't mean having a lump of brass under the chamfer and it doesn't deaden the feel/feedback/vibrations of the shot the way a socket does. For me anyway!

If anyone anywhere in the world ever imagines a theory that is totally ridiculous, with no evidence whatsoever, please don't try to convince folks it's correct. It's just a waste of time.
Big Splash has already come up with it.

I am sure I have seen Ronnie's cue with a joint in the butt, ... maybe wrong - anyone definitively know?

I am sure cuemakers can adjust the weight in the cue to compensate for the butt-joint to maintain a balance point required.

I have also seen Ronnie, when he uses a push-on extension and he likes it he will - himself - put the extension to the floor under the table so he will use that one again.

Instead of talking down to people with your terrible attitude why not just confirm Ronnie doesn't have a butt joint on his cue ?

I couldn't care less what Ronnie uses and have no idea. I do object though when someone says "a push on always connects at a slight angle no matter how good the fit is." because it is an absurd statement. If you think I have a terrible attitude for mocking him so be it so go troll someone else into an argument.
