So is it just a topcoat of nail varnish/cellulose car paint? Or something different? I'm not going to write it off without a review as CC are a really good company seeking to only sell pukka gear.

First I burn off any little Bits carefully flicking across it with a lighter round edge then I wet my thumb and stick it in some spare powdery chalk - spare master chalk - dip it in chalk rub take your blue thumb n press it in round edge of tip and ferrel whilst turning cue fast - dipping more chalk on as required - this is best way to polish a ferrel n burnish it for me.

Look at your thumb n it's black but job done - clean Ferrel n burnished tip.

Agree with that , decent company .

It says for use with Laminated tips , but can be used on all other tips. Maybe helps the laminated tips from splitting ???

I would urge caution on the 'waste of money' line. Cue sports NEEDS new products and innovation - some may be carp, some may be good, but product is essential to the long term health of the game.

Possibly, increasing wall strength and lessening the chance of the tip going soft (for single layer). Of course, better than a £10 bottle of liquid is pro player solution; the old 50p elk. :biggrin-new:

                  Which tips 'go soft'?

If you overhit em, most single layer tips will deform and mush. I think this liquid may help the big hitters protect the tip wall strength. I haven't tried it, though I have used cellulose before. If doesn't last the life of the tip and you have to redo it but it does keep the wall nice and straight.
