  • 4 foot table

My son of 5 has been getting interested in snooker and was thinking about getting a 4 foot table which reading reviews is good for this age to start learning on. I've been looking at one at argos which has good reviews although one mentions the tips on the cues are useless. Is there a good one out there I should be aware of or in this size does it not matter so much?

Anything that can keep him interested and enjoying playing is what you're after... Don't focus on what equipment you get at that age, if he takes more than just a shine to it, there's plenty more answers you can find on here.

My friends had a 6ft argos one and when it arrived it was bowed so bad all the balls rolled to the bottom of the table.

I set it up with my engineers live, bit of overkill but thats what I have. and I could not get it levelled out.

Dropped a straight edge on it and over the 6ft there was 20mm of drop down to the bottom cush.

Me personally I would look for a small slate bed one on eBay or something....

Depending on your location this could be ideal.
