  • Scoreboard App for iOS

    hello there

I have developed an application that keeps track of scores in snooker matches you might play and stores matches played too.

A new feature just added is a referee's voice! Check out the video.

    https://youtu.be/WPy7tJ3Sqt8

It is available on the iTunes App Store at 0.99 GBP or equivalent.

I'm an independent developer so if there are any ideas of improvements you would like to see or comments from any players please let me know.

      Nice Andy...
Do you have a tournament app?
      ----
I'm not sure players would want this type of scoring app. Traditional score boards make no noise and visually don't deter or distract the players. IMO only.
Would be great to use in later stages of a tournament with an audience...

        Hi there the lone wolf

Firstly thank you for your good feedback.

I considered a minimal theme in the past that does only provide the score without multiple colours or animations. I think I will apply this I understand the bells and whistles are not always liked.

Regarding tournaments I have an idea for a new App which will focus more upon this and also the social aspect; having venues where players can also set themselves as available to be challenged at a given time.
I have the technical framework going forward to also share data between different users and their devices.

        Perfect for setting up tournaments!

        Cheers. Andy

i'm sure something like this will catch on soon, i hate the traditional score boards, they have always baffled me. It takes me ages (longer then it should) to work out differences etc. I have always wondered why a digital screen, or a larger version of the darts scoreboard hasnt been used.

Hehe true. My App goes to about 170 odd. Also allows for a 155 or so! Past that it has an alert saying something like: 'Unfortunately it isn't possible to score such a high break!'

I'm hoping so. I've seen a few different scoreboards; I visit China sometimes and the club in Shenzhen where I go they have a young lady 'referee' that has a remote control to a pretty basic electric scoreboard. Should be fine, but the ref I had last time didn't know that many rules.

No need for one. Once a 147 is made, all players celebrate and then rack up for the next frame... The need to add the score to a scoreboard need not apply.
