  • Trying to start playing again after a while out.

So then about 4 weeks ago I decided to get my snooker cue out for the first time in about 18 months. In the summer of 2015 I had a car accident and struggled with a back injury for a long time. I went for my first practice session and found I couldn't get into the same stance as before, nothing was comfortable. The only way I could play was to stand a lot squarer and with the cue under centre chin with a bent bridge arm. Before My left leg was further forward and the cue under my left eye and the left arm straight.
After getting over the language barrier I managed to find myself a good practice partner, hes made a lot of decent breaks against me in the last 4 weeks.
Current status: I've managed to stretch myself out a bit and get closer to my previous stance but I'm still having some issues. So far I've made a lot of 40's but only only managed to get a 57 high break. Maybe i'm expecting too much I don't know. The main thing I'm struggling with is the aim and back of ball. Honestly I'm struggling to focus on the contact point. And even when I do manage to string a few balls together i sudenly can't focus and then throw one in there. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm constantly getting to the point in the break where the hard work is done and then..... I dump all over the place.
Working...
