  • New cue for UK pool

Hello everybody, 1st post here but done lots of reading in this section prior to this post.

So I play 8 ball pool, both in my local league and on my own supreme winner table at home.

My current cue is a 3/4 length 50 quid jobby.
It's cheap, feels cheap but hey I like how it plays.

It's long in the tooth now though and has many war wounds so I thought I'd treat myself to a new stick.

My budget is up to £150.

I'm looking for a one piece 57 inch cue, with a 9mm tip that's 17oz (don't mind a couple of oz either side)

I've looked on green baize that gets mentioned alot on here and id love a Ton Praram cue but can't justify the money. Seen the mastercues but none to my spec on there.

Heard others mention Pheonix and Britannia in that price range too. Tiger cues also (but apparently they are rebadged Grand cues at twice the price?

    Are Grand cues any good?
Looking on their eBay page the cues are about £65-£80. Most are 100-140 butt come with extensions and case.
I love the visual look of this cue:

Cuecraft PC6 I also like this cue

    Are cuecraft cues generally ok?

I'm lost in the world of cues now. Ha.

What brand is best for the buck in my price range and should I be searching for please?

    Thankyou kindly

I live in Thailand and get custom cues made. For close to your budget I could get you black ebony butt 1 peice with mini butt, most 8 ball cues I sell are 8.5mm tip but if you'd prefer 9mm that's not a problem.
6 to 8 weeks from start to finish.
          Cheers Ruairi

I am afraid that you are not allowed to sign up just to sell cues.

              Hi,

I may have something to suit your needs, it's not going to be new but will have been refinished.
Don't have pics up at the mo but can sort and email by Monday if that's ok.
For that one you've always wanted...

I'm sorry but I'm not on this just to sell cues, it's a very interesting forum with lots of interesting topics covered. You have some very nice cues for sale, I wish you all the best.
