  • 4 yr wait for a JP Ultimate.

Went down Parris today to pick up my JP Majestic. It went in for a new ferrule and elk.

Ask about the wait time for an Ultimate and the guy stated 4 years. However, there was a Ultimate in the rack which had just been cancelled. I had to have it. It was my spec and what I would have ordered, so I was lucky . One piece too .

Any of you guys been waiting that long?.

Sure me and Ulti will get on

      Hahaha,

When I collect it. I only had 50 notes left on me after paying for the repair and no cards too.

I have to drive there next Saturday to collect.

I am not normally a cue anorak, but I thought sod it.

While my JP Majestic was in for repair I've been playing for 3 weeks with my old banged about £50 Cue Craft Mirage, have no idea of its stats, I bought it about 25 year ago when I was a shabby 40 break 4 hour a month club player, its hardly been used then for 20 years because I stopped playing snooks for that time till I got my Star. Funny enough, break wise I can score the same but with the CC Mirage the power top spins and screw backs are not as potent, having said that even those shots are getting better because the Elk on it was pony but better the past 5 days.

I and pony at pics, I did some of my Star when I got it so I should be cool doing it again.

      Cheers, D..

          £1130, paid no premium, Steve.

The butt design is similar to the JP Majestic, funny enough..

I have to buy a case quickly, their ones take around 8 month to come..I like the Harlequin ones..

I've only been waiting 5 years so not that long really. Hope you enjoy your cue though there is no way I'd pay over a grand for any cue.

Been waiting almost 62 months for my 1pc JPU...my ordered status finally changed to in progress back in March...I rang the shop Friday to ask if it was nearly ready, John said it should be finished in another couple of weeks...So not much longer hopefully.

Your cue must have gone into progress in the same batch as mine then as my cue went into production in March as well.

Initially I was told it would take approx 3 months but that was way out. In July I was told it would be finished by the end of August. Since then I've just given up hope. I'd take what Parris tells you with a pinch of salt with waiting times.

The fact is they drop everything when a pro wants a new cue or an agent from China phones with a big order. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if a top pro asks for a new cue and if a customers cue in production matches the requirements for the pro that they will use that and then this means they wait longer.

There is no way when the shafts are selected in March for our orders that it takes 6 months or more to plain down to size and put the splicings on and finish off the cue. It should take 1 month maximum in reality.

                          Hi Bud,

Thats is the price of the 1 piece Ultimate. Maybe it was a Pro that cancelled it, who knows.

Wow, 62 months, thats some wait..The Ultimates feel so smooth..

I am too cheap to order a Parris Ultimate and have never even tried a shot with one, besides which in 5yrs I would be 77yrs old!. I make do with my custom MW and it has been a great cue and I would never wait up to 5 years for a cue because in those 5 years my specs would likely change anyway as my game developed (this is if I was younger).
