  • Stance Questions

    1. When I practice my stance at home on a table, I feel alright. But on the snooker table, my stance is totally messed up. What could be the reason?
    2. What effect does widening the legs have - does it help us bend more? If one has broad shoulders but short height, should one have a wide stance?
    3. What effect does the forwardness of the front leg have? i.e. the distance between the leading and other leg?

The difference between home and the table is probably the heights aren't the same, plus you sort of get into your own routine. When you're at a Snooker table if you've been playing a while you sort of go into autopilot mode, for example, if i take my cue out at home and cue with it i find it very easy to open and close the grip and not think much about it. When i'm at a Snooker table playing i find opening and closing the grip hard to do as i'm used to my own routine. Things just seem to change when you have the Snooker table in front of you as opposed to messing around at home.

Not sure about the other 2.

the other two (2 and 3), and the first, should be set into your routine and muscle memory and an unconcious placement.
      Up the TSF! :snooker:
