  • JP traditional issue

Afternoon all, so after wanting one for many moons (and waiting 15 months for it!) I collected a JP Traditional 1 piece last month. Beautiful cue and strikes the CB lovely. However after practise last week I noticed that some of the grain filler has come out of a chevron and if you hold the cue up and 'sight' it you can see the wood is bare on this area. JP closed until Friday 5th and gutted because I don't want to play with it until then! Anyone had a similar issue? Done no more than a wipe down with cloth since I got it on Dec 10th.
    Cheers all

Happens to all his cues. Had a paragon and Ultimate both had the same issue

Cheers for the replies. I'm itching for him to open again! After all these years I took the plunge and can honestly say I can see what all the fuss is about with JP. Plays like a dream, even after having had previous cue for 15 years and a fair few tons

Bit of a blanket statement, I had 4 parris cues over the years and it was only ever an issue on one, and that's because the guy who now owns it has used it for 15 plus years and it's never been refinished.

It's great how times change I have made hundreds of cues in the last 30 odd years but not one had grain filler they were just sanded smooth or while I am on my soapbox not a single customer ever mentioned balance point.
