This aint gonna get many replies probably, but if anyone out there knows the name and source for the triangle that they use in Pro Tournaments to rack the reds up - post it here asap. A main retailer's just told me they don't sell them, don't know where to get one, don't know it's trade name.... but if I find out to let them know!
    Cheers.

Thanks Sonny, £81.37 - more than I thought, but if we put the money from some bog standard wooden replacements towards it, members to chip in and the Club to be 'persuaded' to help, it could generate some pride in the room and be shared between tables (would also dampen the moanings of one particular ex-pro in our League when he turns up with his OWN set of balls!!) ( Craftsmen gave me Peradon's number who said their sister company Thurstons could help - bingo. Ta for the info btw. They seemed to be calling it the, "Referee's Triangle", in the trade ).

I think I remember seeing the referee Paul Colliers site ages ago. I think he was able to get hold of one, he sells equipment on the site too. try a search, see if its still on the net. Also one sold on Ebay about six months ago, fetched a fortune, nearly £100 I think, they are nice but really spending that type of money just so the reds are racked up. Then they are all split after the break off!

Exactly. I saw him tonight too, was tempted to ask him if he could leave one behind! I was crossing my fingers they'd be about £30; add a tenner to the £20 we needn't spend on two new ones...... bit of rectangular plastic with some rollers and a few sighting holes - yeah royt.
Was a privilege to see 15 World Titles worth of players at close quarters though - Betfred Premier League at Basingstoke; 123 & 130 breaks to-boot.

Hmm, what Kiddo? If you mean where we were sitting; in the 'Cirlce', bout 40 yards away but I was so engrossed in Davis and Ronnie I didn't think to use my mini binoculars until Henders came on! My camera's a Pentax Optio S4.... Derby Assembly rooms next.
The table looked great - when amateurs/beginners get sight of a Pro prepared Rileys Aristocrat table, it normally demistifies things and most of the time will (weirdly) even help their game.
(Hope the Mods forgive the mini Pix Blitz - added a screen snap of Steve too).

Cool, wish I was there. I haven't been able to watch any of the matches because the only channel here that use to show snooker doesn't show Cahmpions League...

no worries. I'm sure we can play some VHS through a PC TV-card, record it to MPG then shrink it down and share it on a P2P network in the furture for you Kiddo. Night Night.
