  • Balance point ?????

Is it unusual to have a cue with a balance point of just 13 inches ??? picked up cue at boot sale (No Name) but the most beautiful ash shaft with faultless darts (Chevrons) that's what made me take a punt it weighs in at 19 oz any comments would be welcome.

Well in my experience that would be bloody awful !
Surely not done by anyone who knows what they are doing, any pics ?

That's why a lot of good looking shafts are often rejected, if they don't have the right density and weight to the shaft, if you increase the weight too much you end up with a very poorly balanced cue.

I would say at best this cue would have been better weighted around 15-16oz and the balance would probably move forward to around 15" at best. Still not great though.

I would think who ever made it, just had a small drill to put the weight in, which means is all in the butt.
That could be changed, so the bp is near were is should be..
Just hope of t do get it done, it's not like the last one I did, which had a metal weight in it and a pain to get out...
For that one you've always wanted...

The shaft needs resplice / reweight, and sounds like it's crying out to be around 17oz.
Could be an interesting projekt providing The shaft deserves the attention..
