I never wet the brushes, whilst I am brushing the table I run the brush a few times on the knee-boards on the table to remove dust I wipe the board to clean them as well

Why not vacuum the brush prior to use. This saves a lot of wasted efforts. I see lots of places where they haven't vacuumed their brushes. Seems silly to me. Try running your fingers across the brush. See how much dust and rubbish is trapped in there.
Also. If you lightly vacuum the table before you brush it, there will be a lot less surface dust getting bellowed up into the air. You will mostly only be brushing the chalk down to the bottom. Keeping your brush relatively 'dust' free!
Still would be good practice to vacuum the brush after use. Keeping everything clean and in good nick keeps us keen.
      Cheap and Cheerful! 😄

I generally take mine out side and brush the brush hairs against another brush which seems to get virtually everything out. I also brush the napping block outside so the all the dust isn't in the snooker room.
