  • How is the Peradon Lazer 1pc? Good cue?

    Hi everyone,

I'm planning on getting a Peradon lazer 1pc, although, i'm a bit skeptical about the ebonex butt.
Does it feel like real ebony, real wood?
Is the cue well balanced and stiff?
Would very much appreciate you're help.

    Best Regards,
    Valter Almeida

ps: I apologize for any spelling mistakes, I'm from Portugal.

I'm thinking on getting the Marksman 1 pc. Really like the plain ebony look on the butt.

                  Hello Valter,
ebonex is a term used for any generic dark hardwood that's been pressure dyed black to look like ebony, so yes it's real wood but not real ebony.
As for the shaft stiffness, well you pay your money and take your choice when buying blind as all timber is different, but look for close straight grained ash or maple, or if you want real stiffness then beech is great. Just sold three beech cues on ebay, no more left but will be making some more this year, the buyers love them, could be the start of a snooker beech cult
Speak up, you've got to speak up against the madness, you've got speak your mind if you dare
but don't try to get yourself elected, for if you do you'll have to cut your hair

                    Hi vmax,

Thank you very much for the response. Is it possible for you to give me you're ebay link?
I'm looking for a plain ebony butt 1pc cue, 59". I like them stiff and without too many shevrons, around 4" spaced shevrons.
Do you think you can help me out?
                    Best Regards,
                    Valter Almeida
