  • Stance Question

Hi. Me been playing snooker for around 6-7 yrs. I have been using a stance which i deem comfortable. Its actually holding the cue close to ur chest, coz i think that if the chest pressing down the cue, there is less chances of u having unnecessary cue movement since the cue is lock by the chest. Hence ur ball will go straight. Using this stance, my accuracy so far has been slightly better than my friend. But ball control still need more pratise.

However, recently, i have know new snooker friend, he commend that my stance althought give me accurarcy, it wont give me enough cue power. Because, if the cue pressing on ur chest, u wont be able to 100% swing out ur arm as ur fist will hit ur chest halfway thru. He added that, short distance i might be able to control since cue power not as vital. But when it come to long distance pot, the problem arise.

What u guys suggest?? Using the stance i have been using, i have able to make copuples of 50-60. Do u think i should change my stance?? One of my friend say that i should not change because the stance that i have been using is a natural and comfortable stance for me and what suit one person might not necessary suit the other. Any comment??
