  • Hi Everyone

I have been a snooker fan for as long as I can remember. I used to play once or twice a week but now very rarely. The World Snooker Championship is one of the best sporting events of the whole year and I was lucky enough to go to The Crucible for some matches a few years ago. I have also been to the Masters at Wembley almost every year for about the last 20 years. My favourite player is Mark Williams, I think he has a good chance to be this years champion.

Hi Pat & welcome - crucible venue's really special isn't it; how'd you compare it to Wembley... do you think it matters who's playing?

Your Williams tip is looking strong; got him each-way?

Hi there. I think the Crucible is an amazing venue especially with the two table set up. I can't believe a couple of years ago they were thinking of taking the championship to a different venue. The first time I went to the Crucible I saw Wattana v Fu and I was disappointed because my seat was on the back row but because the arena is so small the view was brilliant.

The Crucible and Wembley are totally different, I have seen Jimmy and Ronnie play at Wembley a few times and the atmosphere is always special but nothing beats the Crucible. Because Wembley is so big some matches are played with lots of empty seats and it does take away some of the atmosphere.

I think the Wembley Conference Centre is going to be demolished and the Masters is going to a new venue. Do you know if it is going to stay in London?

I have backed Williams each way at 14-1, I think he has a good chance against O'Sullivan but Ronnie against Day could be a lot closer than the bookies think. Day has got a lot of talent and could be a future world champion.

I also have Ebdon each way at 33-1 but Murphy is looking strong again.

        All the best, Pat.
