Quality Cues ? Dont know the brand, do you ?

Still looking for cues, came across this one, but I cant seem to find any information of the actual brand. Anyone got one of these or know if it is actually a good or cheap cue ?

It looks okay, hand spliced doesn't really matter too much, some pros use machine spliced cues, but it's quite a heavy cue (relatively).
It looks nice though

If I'd never heard of the brand I'd steer clear myself!
I'd get one secondhand from a known cuemaker first. I think it's worth spending a bit more and getting a cue you really like then you'll never need to change it.
Good hand spliced is usually best but a good machine spliced cue is better than a cheap hand spliced.

Yeah, dont seem to find the brand in any searches on yahoo, then again, I dont seem to be able to find Barracuda either but sites say they are a great cue maker. I'm maybe looking at getting the

It is made in China by Shender, the cost is USD$ 8.50 an awful cue, go for soemthing with a reputation, like Parris, overpriced but good, Master Cue or O MIn are probably your best bet, cue makers liek Glover, Wooldridge etc. are very expensive and nothing special, I have a 700 pound Glover cue I have been trying to sell for 2 years, my O Min cue is miles better even better then the John Parris Professional I have, finally if oyu want to playthe game of Snooker or Billiards stay away from the $ 5.00 Chinese cues, any new fancy name you can be sure it comes from China.

Yeah Barracuda used to be made in Blackpool and be good, so old ones are a find but the new ones are made in China by a different company.
Kev Muncaster used to work there and he's is Northwest cues now and has a good rep.
I've heard lots of good things about Master cue too!!

why dont you just buy one and be done with it, the websites you come up with are all Chinese cues worth a few quid only, there is an old saying which is very valid "" you get what you pay for""

What is your game and standard of play ??? most cheap cues will do for beginners.

I am from Australia. These are probably the best websites that I can find in Australia. If you have anything better then what I am posting let me know, Cause thats Australia for ya.... I have purchased Cues before from sport stores, 1 made a cracking sound everytime I hit the ball. took it back. the guy said never had only problems, got another one, and the tip cracked down the shaft.

i've found a site that is selling Jimmy White, Riley & Ronnie O’Sullivan cues. All I'm after is something that had a strong background in quality, and the friggin thing aint gunna snap or make a snaping sound every time u hit.

I have come along these cues before, i even bought one on ebay. I bought the whole package for around £22 a cue and a case and a mini butt. for the price its not too bad a cue at all.

yeah i got mine really cheap, thats all these cue are but i am still using my old cue so i guess thats the true recommendation.

Anyway I cant cue straight so it does not matter which cue i use.

Well I just bought one from that seller on ebay. It's in the post. To be honest, I got one so I could get the leather case. I then plan to sell the cue and extensions with my old case to make some money back on the cost of the new case.

The leather case is made in Hong Kong. A friend has one and I quite liked it so I thought I'd get one too.

I expect the cue will be crap - I know they are made in China and won't be worth any more than 15USD each. But I'm getting one custom made for about 100quid.

Like the others say - you get what you pay for.

Beware - some of the sellers on auction sites come across as being snooker experts. They may indeed be very good players. But they know that most people know nothing about cues and can be duped easily into buying rubbish.
