Hi, need some help with choosing a cue maker to manufacture my new cue. Who can tell me something about the following cue makers, for eg. quality, service and waiting time?
    -Stamford Cuemakers
    -Glover cues
    -Robin Cook
    -Dave Coutts

    Thank you very much,
    kind regards

I can tell you about Dave Coutts. I had a cue off him about 2 or 3 years ago. The quality was very good, easily as good as anything on offer elsewhere, including Parris, Wooldridge etc. As with a lot of cuemakers who work on their own you know you are getting excellent quality as they take more time when making the cue. Because of this the waiting time is quite long, about 13 weeks in my case but the splice work was quite intricate which probably took an extra 2/3 weeks. I was very pleased with the cue and quality of it but unfortuntely I couldn't really get used to it and sold it last year.

If you are prepared to wait then I can recommend him highly but if not I'd probably go to Stamford as the other 3 are individual cue makers who will probably take between 8-12 weeks to make it to your specification.

The only e-mail I had was the one on his website. He does sometimes take a few days to reply.
