  • State of the rankings

I've seen this in one thread and it's a little weird, but Ebdon looks to be in good shape and if he gets a good run to the final (or so) to the Malta cup, then we could be for something we never saw.
Could this be the year Ebdon fulfils his dream?

      94 Roy Stolk 5200
      95 Mark Boyle 5,200
      96 Alex Borg 5100

So Ebdon can get to number one if he wins it. Murphy can climb as high as 5, Day is 12 regardless and Carter cannot regain top 16 status.

At the lower end Wenbo and Penfei are doing a good job of moving up the rankings whereas Liu Song could become what I believe is the first Chinese player to ever drop off the main tour.

Jimmy is down to 57 but China rankings should see him Okay, Drago is holding on at 62 and parrott is still a top 48 player at 46.

These points dont include anything gained in unfinished tournaments (with the obvious exception of the Malta Cup of course.)

as a side note Jimmy will finish the season on at least 10,550 points I think which on last years totals is enough to stay in the top 16.

Have you deliberately ranked Jimmy White above Judd Trump, despite the latter having pore points?

Yes, you are forgetting the obligatory 100 bonus points Jimmy recieves just for being Jimmy.

I have of course not added them to the total ala high break bonus in your own predictions event but it does effect overall seasons rankings.

Are you sure? I thought Jimmy would end the season with at least 11675 ranking points (6450 from last season and 5225 for this season).

                  8800 + 450 (wales) + min 1400 (china) + min 900 (world) = 11,550

I think I may have been a bit wrong there you're right, and I still might be now. Main thing is based on last year he looks safe.
