  • Statman- a question please

Do you know how many times Joe Swail has played a deciding frame in world chanpionship matches-including qualifiers and how many of these has he won

i reckon his success rate must be very high following another one tonight ?

I'm not Statman , but i found his deciders in WC excluding qualifaers
Joe Swail 13-12 Mark J Williams WC 2001
Joe Swail 10-9 Sean Storey WC 2001
Joe Swail 13-12 John Parrott WC 2000
Joe Swail 10-9 Mark J Williams WC 2007

So, Joe has 100% in deciders excluding quailifaers!

PS Maybe Statman soon find qualifaers too! BTW who has the best percentage of deciders in crucible?

But maybe somebody has 100% in more matches, can it be that?

thanks for all the replies folks !!

in 2000 i had £10 each way on Parrott at 28-1 at the start of the tournament and couldnt believe he was 12-8 up against Swail in the second round and lost

i took a keen interest in Young Joes results after i had that mini disaster !! and saw he had had more than a few last frame victories

im almost pretty certain he has had at least 3 last frame victories in the qualifiers also !!

William Hills on line betting just before the start of frame 19 last night was Williams 4-5 & Joe Evens. they obviously didnt know how good his record was in final frames !!

John Parrott has had a few decider wins in the qualifiers too.
I know he beat Lee Spick 10-9 in 2006, Micheal Judge 10-9 in 2004, Robin Hull 10-9 in 2003, and Shokat Ali 10-9 in 2002.
                  All final qualifiying round.

Indeed. Nice lad Bradley and a talented player. I believe he had just become a dad for the first time when he played Parrott but was struggling to make ends meat on the circuit.

Whats he up to these days?

                        Hi Cyril,
Thanks for asking about Bradley, yes he is a great bloke and had tremendous talent that was unfortunately never capitalised on.
His wife Linda had at the time recently given birth to Liam, he now has another son Harry who is 4. Brad now works for the local council maintenance dept, and also sells cars privately.
He did play in this years qualifying for the worlds, winning through to the main tour stages and beat Issara Kachaiwong before losing to Judd Trump 10-8. Not bad considering he hadn't picked up a cue for a couple of years!
But yeah he's doing good and is very happy.

Good to hear. Not many council maintenance workers can say that they played at the Crucible.
