    Hi Friends,

I am thinking of buying a sightright device -has anyone any experience - either good or bad from using this? I would be interested to hear fom you.

Also has anyone tried the spidershot laser trainer?

    Cheers!

PS I got a 38 break last week ! If only I could crack that 50!

Buy some night vision glasses while your at it you'll save a fortune on the meter.

    edit..

Sorry to be sarcastic but leave such gizmos where they belong... in the hands of Yanks.
Did you know they've got some piezo device to add to a cue now that relieves stress?

i own one, its ok to learn if you are not sighting the cue right, and get something right, it is not an american product, i was actually asked by the person who made the product to attend a coaching session he was doing.

To be honest it is not worth the money, you could easily learn what that teaches you without buying it.

Either way, the choice is yours...

I got one as a xmas present. I found it useful in terms of how I approach the shot and position myself behind the shot when approaching the table. The most useful part is that it can be used away from a snooker table.

When down on the shot you follow their instructions on how to adjust your head position so that you're sighting correctly.

This is where I got a little confused - conventional wisdom seems to state that when down on the shot you keep your dominant eye above the cue. Testing myself shows I'm right eye dominant. However, when following their instructions I end up with the cue more underneath my left eye.

Actually, I haven't used it for a while. I'll get it out this weekend and do some practice.

NB this device does not test whether your cue is travelling straight along the line (my biggest problem right now!), just that your eyes are looking in the correct direction.

You should tell them - they claim on their website:

"EVERYONE tested so far has failed the SightRight® Tests!"
