  • I want to improve, but..

In Norway it is about 30 fullsize snooker tables.
7 of them are in Oslo, where i live. But i live in the suburbs, and the tables are in the city centre, or at the other side of the town. I have neither drivers license ore car, and snooker tables are too expensive and i dont have space for it. Thats why i only play snooker about 2 times the month.
+ it´s not cheap to play snooker in Oslo. The cheapest place is £3,50 per hour per person. That means £7 the hour for 2.
The other places cost £7 the half hour per table and £12,50 the hour.

Sounds expensive pal. Is there not much call for snooker in Norway? Maybe there is a market for snooker clubs (if the money was available) as most uk clubs only charge about £4 per house ish

    Q
Looking for a uk, brand new car or van?, look no further, drop me an email or pager now, I will beat any dealer on the road price ! Q

£4 per hour is a good price Qball. Most of the Rileys etc i know of in Manchester charge at least £5.50.

Where can you play at £4.00 per hour ?

Maybe there are some private clubs / tables where you can play for a monthly fee instead? Try asking at snooker.no or where you play. I used to play in a bowling hall that also has some pool and snooker tables, but after a while I got a tip about a private club/table, where I currently play (I'd invite you over, but it's not really anywhere near Oslo).

@Q: they say that the interest is growing, but we're not getting any new tables to prove it, in fact one of the Oslo clubs is closing down

Help out your club manager in return for free table time. I sometimes carry out the occasional hit for my local club manager. Usually its rival club staff but I've also taken out many others. I get free table time and coffee in return. Of course I also recieve my standard £20,000 fee which I list on my annual tax return as 'basic'.
