my cue

i have a parris professional,,,,which i was going to sell..to order a Trevs1 special....but after reading some of the posts here....it gives me an uneasy feeling whether i will get any money back at all...

why do i get the feeling these cues are not what they appear to be....or should i stick it in the garden and let a sunflower grow up it

what do people think in general...and apologies now if peeps are p****d offski with this type of post

First question would be, why do you want to sell your Parris cue? Are you comfortable with it or not. Don't just judge a cue brand on what a few idiots on here have said, particularly bad mouthing JP for no apparant reason other than because he doesn't make the cue 100% himself!

Secondly, if you do want to sell your Parris cue I can guarantee you that you will get at least £170+ on Ebay if the cue is in good condition and you are a trusted seller, most Parris cues still sell for over £200 and I don't see that trend changing in the short term.

i am what i would say a trusted seller my ebay name is the same here....the cue is in excellent condition....but its just the bad vibes peeps here have seem to be giving the parris name....in my opinion of course

and of course i am always looking for Excaliber

If you like the look of it then keep it.
If the spec aint right for you but can be made right then keep it.
If the feel aint right then buy some sandpaper oooo wire wool and raw liniseed oil and make it right.

But to sell it just because you now know Parris cues are not what they once were and that his prices are way over the top is madness.

I'd say the question above is 'THE' question.

I would also agree that Parris cues do sell for decent money via Ebay, as a used cue goes, so wouldn't be overly concerned about re-sale value.

If any cue owned by any player just isn't doing it for them, I'd say it's time to move on. Having said that, we all know how the grass appears greener on the other side of the fence.

It's also likely to be true that a few negative comments from others about what cues we use ourselves, will probably make us feel even more unsettled.

Ultimately though, if a player understands exactly what it is he/she is looking for in a cue, they'll probably have some idea over whether or not they're getting that from their current cue.
