  • Hi all.. new here

Hello everybody.... nice to meet fellow snooker loopy people.

Used to play at an amateur level back in the early 2000s then emigrated to Cambodia. Surprisingly have some very nice snooker clubs here so have been able to keep up with playing some snooker over the years.

Been using my JP Exclusive cue since ordered for my 27th birthday in 2007.... 12 years later, I’ve given into temptation and ordered myself a JP Ultimate 1-piece.... here starts the 5-year wait! 🤦🏻*♂️

Hope to catch up with you all in due course

      welcome to TSF
      You still in Cambodia?
can you post some pictures of the clubs over there?

would have thought they would have been Carom due to the French influence

hopefully the 5-years will disappear quickly!
tip - have a baby, then the time flies!
      Up the TSF! :snooker:

Thanks... yup still here. Been here since 2009. Snooker is very popular in Cambodia but like most things in South East Asia, anything to do with gambling and money. Carom is extinct here.

Another popular game is using American pool balls (numbered) on the full-size snooker tables... each ball would correspond to playing card... you pot the ball to get rid of your card... #14 and #15 are money-balls that can earn you extra. The first to clear their cards wins

I'm so jealous right now, I've had that feeling lately playing on the old unloved tables at my social club, that I want to treat myself to some quality table time at the snooker hall. Now I've seen that I think I need to get on a plane!

What's the vibe like in there? Looks vibrant! Not hushed and quiet.....
