  • Hi from Nottingham - quick question...

    Hi
I am Adrian from Nottingham. I have a question which I keep getting different answers to, so hopefully someone here will be able to clarify it for me:

I was aiming for a red, but hit the green ball instead. However, the green then went and knocked the black ball into the pocket, so my question is this...is it a 4 point foul for hitting the Green first, or a 7 point foul because the black went in the pocket?

    Cheers

7 point foul, the highest foul counts

There are only one set of rules

The only thing that differs is that the mis rule is often not implemented in local clubs etc

I think it should be an 11 point foul just for messing up so bad.

a few nights a go, my friends and I has this same discussion; if all fouls in a stroke were cumulative

would make "needing snookers" nearly redundant till the very end of a frame
