  • Soft Tip and Tip Clamp

    Hi all,

New member to this forum and a new cue owner. I've heard the good about soft tip on snooker cues, also read from Internet and YouTube that you need to compress the tip before installing onto your cue.

To me it sounds contradict as the tip clamp will harden or make the tip firmer, so will this make a soft tip into a medium tip? I'm lost here need your advice.

    Thanks in advance.

    Best regards
    Felix

soft tips are generally not suited for snooker, you can go with it in uk pool but in snooker you will have 0 feeling as the cue ball is bigger. I am not a pro but this is my thoughts, i think you should try it

Thanks Kayen, I've only played with those house cues before, and I hate hash "rock" like feels of those aged tips. So soft tips attract my eyes immediately. Just realized a too soft tip will do more harm than good. Thanks for your advice mate.

      Cheers
      Felix
