As the title says guys ,

What is your favorite movie? the 5 movie on top of your list.

    Mine are :

1- The Godfather: among other masterful performance from Marlon Brando

    2-The Shawshank Redemption

3- Fracture, outstanding actor work provided by Sir Anthony Hopkins.
A real lesson for your life (pride comes before the fall).

    4- Primal Fear,
Edward Norton you are a talented master of deception .

    5- Gangs of New York,
A gap between old generation and new one, masterfully laid out by Sir Daniel Michael Blake Day-Lewis.
    Just
the appearance of this man in this movie, amazing !!
    Maybe I'm too old-fashioned !!

            Blade Runner
            Shane

and many many more, but far more books that haven't yet made it into films, especially sci fi but hollywood has been too busy the last decade with Marvel comics to make anything more substantial.
But Blade Runner 2 coming soon read the book many years ago now, don't know if it's the same though.

                    Not a lot:

                    1. The Usual Suspects
                    2. Blade Runner (they're doing a sequel apparently and using Harrison Ford!)
                    3. Godfather
                    4. Shane
                    5. There's one I've been looking for with Michael Caine as an older husband and (I think) Donald Sutherland as the wife's younger lover and the plot is really good but I can't think of the name, I just remember I really liked it.

Ridly Scott is executive producer and not directing, looks like it could be good. Doesn't look anything like Blade Runner 2 by K W Jeter which is the book I have.

Now if Ridley Scott could direct a film of David Zindell's sci fi novel Neverness I would die a happy man.

                        This one: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleuth_(1972_film) ?

                        Only 5? blimey....

A bit like songs ie depends on mood, but I'll have a ponder of "if I could only have\watch 5"

                        In the mean time:

Given the blood lust above: have a look at Baise Moi

Four Minutes - a far superior, and maybe original of before US cleansing remake of Whiplash.

Something Korean: Guilty of Romance or Coldfish.

Noce Blanche or Girl on a Bridge: Paradis at her sublime best

Metropolis - the full marathon jobby with all the lost\cut stuff .
