  • Table iron repair

    Hi everyone,

recently there were small light brown crumbs on the baulk cushion of my table after using the table iron. First I thought it was dust but I discovered that the layer between the metallic silver bottom and the green upper part of the table iron is starting to dissolve. Has anyone ever discovered the same?
Next question: I think of using some kind of heat-resistant sealing mass to fill the little gaps between both parts of the iron and to prevent the cushions from getting dirty. Good or bad idea?

Any kinds of help and opinions are highly appreciated. Thanks!

Sorry for slightly bumping up this dead thread. But just in case anyone faces the same problem: I used heat-resistant tape on the table iron to prevent the table getting dirty and it seems to do the job quite nicely.
