As Alex Higgins said "it would be all right for growing tomatoes up". Alex had a wicked sense of humour at times.

Yet to see him practice down the club , hopefully one day .

Would love to see his cue action up close and also to ask him how he made middle pocket pots look so bloody easy !

Always highly interesting to hear what he says. Probably the best the game ever saw.

                      I thought that.

I guess he went to a coach for certain parts of his game and then they delved into other parts; if you change too much and it affect the things that always worked you might have a job to get back to where you were (which I think is hat he is saying).

Nice insight into his thinking and the fact that introducing a pause into his game helped his long potting.

                      Great video!

But the pause also disrupted his cue action and timing in my opinion. Anyway I was wondering, how common is it to make your first century within first year of playing?

I noticed that too, very unusual I'd say, natural talent.

Insightful interview from the best 'winner' of the modern era. If you've got the natural ability then stay away from coaches and don't pack your cue into the luggage hold of airliners, no matter how crap it is.
Speak up, you've got to speak up against the madness, you've got speak your mind if you dare
but don't try to get yourself elected, for if you do you'll have to cut your hair

I wonder how old he was when he first saw a coach. Obviously if he knocked a century in without one he would always have been a really good player. I wonder he would have been the player he is without seeing a coach or he would have still won 7 world titles; that might have been a good question for him.
