  • Hello from Devon.

Evening all, 52 now. Last played 10yrs ago while working in Oxford. Well practised really, just like a table to myself, put the colours back on their spots after missing, got a few 50s by myself but would loose every match.

Anyway Im shopfitting all over the south now, so just reading up on cues, glasses (Grrr)etc.

Doubt it will be much before February but Im leaning towards a couple of coaching sessions while my muscle memory is weak before I pick up a cue again.

I do have a question though, if selected, my next contract is in Staines for 6 wks, then somewhere else etc etc, now a quick search, nearest hall is Southall or Feltham, quite a way to go after work. Just wondering if there is a national list of snooker halls for people on the move...?

Thanks in advance, probably be quite quiet on here as Ill be learning rather than imparting knowledge...

unfortunately clubs have closed left right and centre in recent years, or at least down-sized.

If you're going to be in Staines, how about Woking SC? A big club with 22 (?) tables. They're not all top notch though! Certainly easier to get to than Southall.

Welcome to the forum. I had trouble with my eyes when I came back into the game.

Here is an article on what choices snooker players might have!

          Good luck with your game.

If you can find yourself a time machine and go back to the 80's you can take your pick of clubs to play in, alternatively try and get some work in China:biggrin-new:
