    just got one of these Oxford Jelks & Sons Con Stanbury any body heard of this cue

      Well, Con Stanbury first appears in England in 1935 and Jelks & Sons became a Limited Company in 1936, so I reckon that the cue plate was designed between these dates. How long it was made and supplied is another question, but in the absence of any other information, I'd go for that as a date range.

        I have an image of a "W. Jelks & Sons Ltd" Stanbury cue - the badge exactly the same as the image above but with Ltd after Sons; so appears the made this cue after the 1936 "Limited".
