    Default Walking into the shot

Right basically today i had a lesson by martin gould and he told me that i dont walk into the shot and that i should do that, so i been walking into the shot more now (Hopefully in a straight line) but i was wondering, what is the advantage of walking into the shot rather then just getting in line and getting straight down?

    thanks,

For one thing you are doing somethign consistant, if you do the same thing, ie take two steps forward from directly behind each shot you will know your feet will be in exactly the same place every time, so will your body etc.
