Unfortunately the only " try before you buy " options I know of are a) Craftsmans at Kippax , b) Chesworths at Sheffield & c) Green Baize at Thorn

just find a decent snooker cue and take it somewhere like craftsmans and take it down to around 8/9 mil no need to spend silly money, its doesnt cost
